Tien Peng, M.D.
Principal Investigator
Tien grew up in Taiwan and Virginia. He trained in Baltimore, New York, and Philadelphia before moving to California. His favorite hiking trail is the Marin Headland Coastal Trail.
Chaoqun Wang, Ph.D.
Post Doctoral Fellow
Chaoqun was born in Hangzhou, China. He completed his PhD in The Chinese University of Hong Kong, investigating the role of CD147 in regulating germ cell death and human endometriosis progression. He plays badminton in campus gym almost every weekend.
N. Soledad Reyes de Mochel, Ph.D.
Post Doctoral Fellow
Soledad was born in Durango, Mexico and raised in California's central valley (Merced, CA). She completed her PhD from UC Irvine investigating the function of BMP signaling and dynamic transcription factor gene expression in preimplantation mouse development. Her free time is divided between climbing, dancing salsa, and spending quality time wth friends and family.
Monica Cassandras
Research Associate
Monica is from Boston, Massachusetts. She has a BA in Molecular and Cell Biology from UC Berkeley. In her free time, she likes to watch football and spend time outdoors. She loves to travel and has been to six continents - she hopes to make it to the seventh soon!
